Commentary: YPAC Summer Tribute Series

Image

Queen Nation at all the other cities summer concert series is Free! Saw them at Ontario Town Center Free Wednesday, and then at the Banning Playhouse Bowl coming up, also free! Come on YPAC, step up, concerts free for Yucaipa Residents!
Yes, we have the ‘free’ summer series in the park, but all the bands in the park are B or C level Tributes, or Cover Bands, Especially since the YPAC opened…The ‘A’ level bands are only at the YPAC, if at all: QN, DSB, Wanted, LED Zeppagain, Turn The Page, Which Ones Pink, Bonfire, TLR, Strange Days, Mirage, Bruno & The Holligans, Etc all play all of the other City parks and venues for free-Yucaipa is the only city that charges for the ‘A’ level Tribute Bands-I am the reporter here in So Cal that has been covering them for 20 years now…Even the Mountain Grove Concert Series in Redlands is free, and yes, with A level talent, we are going to see Bruno & The Holligans there next Thursday…Other ideas for the YPAC: (1) Pull the band closer on stage to the front, they are ‘buried’ to far in the back (2)Turn the sound down a little-It damaging the ears (3) Better seats (4) Put a California style Patio Cover over it, It will help protect fans from the sun, and it will look much nicer…If you still want to do a ‘nominal’ charge, Don’t separate the audience into ‘classes’: VIP $35, Medium $25, Poor people in the back $15…Make all seats $15, first come, first served at purchase…But remember, at all the other cities-But Yucaipa-The A level Tributes are Free, as a way to give the taxpayers back customer goodwill…This includes The Redlands Bowl, where we are going to see the Righteous Brothers Tuesday night, The Banning Playhouse Bowl, going to see QN there next, and the beautiful Ontario Towne Square, Where the A level Tributes are also all Free…Ok guys, have a good week! 🎸🎸🎸
