Major Spring Storm to move across Yucaipa on Monday

A major category 4 Spring "Winter-style" storm is set to roll thru the inland area and Yucaipa today (Monday) thru Tuesday Morning...This could be the biggest storm of the current season, and this 'March Miracle' is a very unusual system for this late in the year...

The storm is drawing up tropical moisture, just enough to qualify as a weak atmospheric river... This means we could end up receiving impressive rain totals once it’s all said and done...

The high-resolution computer models have predicted on rain totals of at least one inch for most cities, but with up to four inches of rain in Yucaipa...Keep in mind, most cities get about one to two inches of rain on average during the entire month of March...That means we could receive a month’s worth of rainfall with just this one storm...

Please note that the atmosphere is primed for severe thunderstorms, hail, and even a rare small FO Tornado...Heavy snow is expected in the mountains above 6,000 feet...Try to stay home off the roads if possible, ands chains will be required in the mountain areas...Local flooding and landslides are also possible...Batten down the hatches!
