A woman and her dogs were struck and killed by lightning Today in Pico Rivera as rare early summer thunderstorms slammed the Inland Empire, according to Sheriff’s Officials…The woman was walking the dogs just before 9 a.m. on a path near a riverbed at Mines and Rimbank avenues when the storm struck…The fatality was the first in the region by lightning since 2014…
